Come one, come all to the annual resident artists and carvers show, which will be held on Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Hobby Building Art Room.
“Our Spring Fling Art Show will have you losing yourself in the creative displays of oil, pastel, and watercolor paintings, as well as Prismacolor pencil drawings,” says Freda Klump, director of the show’s sponsoring Art Group. “And, as an additional treat, members of the Carvers Club are also displaying their fantastic talent.”

Freda not only encourages residents to attend the show but also to join the Art Group. “Our resident artists meet in the Hobby Building Art Room three days a week: Wednesday, from 1 to 4 p.m. and Thursday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon.” Freda adds, “We happily welcome new members!”
Freda has been a member since 2014 and has served as director on and off for five years. Her love of art began in the third grade when she won an art contest by creating a Halloween mask. Later, her passion for art and school spurred her to become an elementary school art teacher. It’s no wonder that, in retirement, she encourages and inspires others to express themselves through the Art Group. She loves exploring new mediums and sharing ideas with her fellow artists.
