Believe it or not … 40 days from today, we will be performing “A Holiday to Remember” at Circle Square Cultural Center! The concerts will be on Saturday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10 and will be sold prior to the concert beginning Nov. 6 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon in the Recreation Center lobby.
We are asking everyone who attends the concerts to support our Interfaith Emergency Service Food-4-Kids drive, which serves 30 elementary schools and eight middle schools in Marion County. Please bring non-perishable items such as canned food items (i.e., pasta, vegetables, soup), mac and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, oatmeal, cereal, granola bars, fruit roll-ups, snack bars, Pop Tarts, crackers, pudding and fruit cups, and holiday candy. This drive supports over 2,000 Marion County students and is crucial to families over the holiday break to help supply them with food.
We are hosting music bingo on Sunday, Nov. 24, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the Recreation Center. Tickets may be purchased for $10 from Concert Chorus members. Proceeds will assist with funds needed for our concert costs of music, staging, sound, advertising, and printing. If you’d like to become a patron, please email deboraasmith@gmail.com or joanne.houston57@gmail.com for more information.
We are having fun rehearsing the concert music, which will include many holiday favorites such as “White Christmas,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Happy Holidays,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Hanukkah,” “Little Drummer Boy,” and masterworks such as “Hallelujah.” Please plan to attend the 82-member Concert Chorus for “A Holiday to Remember.” We guarantee a fun and memorable performance.
