As Sholom Park celebrated its 20th anniversary in October, we marked this milestone with some exciting renovations designed to enhance the park’s natural beauty and tranquility. Over time, certain plantings need refreshing, and we’re delighted to share the improvements we’ve made to keep Sholom Park thriving.

In the formal garden, you’ll notice a significant transformation with fresh new plantings. We’ve replaced aged plants with drift roses, agapanthus, and split-leaf philodendrons and added two elegant cassia trees, among many other plantings, all bringing a renewed sense of color and life to this meditative space.

Additionally, our fragrance trail has received some beautiful enhancements.

You’ll know you’re on this special trail when you spot two new arbors along the path – one featuring confederate jasmine and the other adorned with purple passion vine. As these vines grow, they will climb and drape the arbors with lovely blooms and delightful fragrances. We’ve also added more lemongrass, one of my favorites, known not only for its fresh aroma but also for its health benefits.

We encourage you to visit Sholom Park soon to explore these fresh updates and experience the new sights and scents awaiting you!

We’re excited to continue our Park After Dark series this December with the return of Beautiful Bobby Blackmon and the B3 Band. Mark your calendar for Thursday, Dec. 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., for a night of soulful music from the 1970s. Back by popular demand, Bobby Blackmon promises a great show to wrap up the year. Tickets are available at MasterthePossibilities.org, so don’t miss this chance to groove with us under the stars.

We hope to see you soon.
